Too Soon?

My state, Georgia, is set to partially reopen tomorrow (Friday), and the wringing of hands has begun as the media sets out to paint Governor Brian Kemp as some sort of a villain who will be forcing people to leave the safety of the cells...er...homes, and venture out into the Zombie Apocalypse that is the current condition of their communities, which is far from truthful. But the media is in an interesting situation. They, along with their Komrades in the DemoKrat Party and Hollywood, despise the Georgia Governor and the voters who chose him over the expensively marketed Stacey Abrams, whom they still hope will give them a return on their investment if Joe Biden picks her for President of the United States, but they also just generally hate Donald Trump. And Trump has weighed in saying he thinks it is "too soon" to open my state and make it a place of freedom once again. My kneejerk reaction is "OrangeManBad", because: 1) It's not HIS livelihood or freedom at stake and 2) He has said he would leave reopening up to the states, but upon reflection it seems that he is giving the media a chance to embrace Kemp and his decision, because the media HAS to be FOR anything Trump is against. The media reporting leans toward gossipy tones of having two enemies in a tiff, and enjoying the tiff,  and relishing the fact that if either side wins, at least there's a loser. They do NOT want a successful reopening of any part of America, and especially not a Republican-leaning state, so they are drumming up statistics about the current KungFlu death toll, and speculation that reopening will increase that. On the Trump side, though, they are in a corner. If Kemp succeeds they can always bash Trump for being wrong, but they won't do that, because it will make Kemp look good. And if things go badly in my state, they still won't side with Trump, because he is Trump. A lose/lose for them. And Trump looks cautious, while Kemp looks courageous. So I am looking forward to see what happens.
As far as what is reopening, none of it affects me, but maybe it IS time to get a new gym membership. Or a manicure.
